Alyssa Sorresso is a creative nonfiction writer, editor, and teaching artist living in Paris, France. Alyssa’s writing has been published in PANK Magazine, Calyx, Talking Writing, Creative Nonfiction (Magazine), Nine Lives: A Life In 10 Minutes Anthology, and elsewhere. She’s had notable essays for Memoir Magazine’s #MeToo 2019 Essay Contest and The Best American Essays 2015. She was nominated for the 3Arts award in Teaching Artistry in 2016 and was awarded a Ragdale Arts residency for the fall of 2018.
Alyssa works as a writing coach, editor, and copy editor. She holds a Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing. Over the past 5 years, she has edited copy for the fields of finance, fashion, and medicine and has recently begun editing artistic book projects. Alyssa has over 10 years of experience coaching and teaching youth and adult writers and artists. Her areas of expertise and interest are creative nonfiction, experimental artistic projects, and work that amplifies marginalized voices.
